How did we do this amazing website ?
Here are some explanations about we handled the creation of this numerique deliverable.
Two weeks before the deadline, we started working on this website. We decided to choose to make a website because our research was easier to to present on a written frame. Nada was in charge of doing the video and editing the content; Simon edited the content; Onorina edited the content and checked the grammar mistakes; Eric and Romain built visual elements.
How we created this website
Editing the content was relatively difficult since we tried to explain with simple words our research to people who didn't know our project. Moreover, in our opinion, our subject did not really suit for a creative work, unlike other subjects. Creating a website was also difficult as we had to familiarize ourselves with a new environnment of work that did knew nothing about.
We each learned several technical elements that we did not know before. Some of us were already skilled enough in technology and shared their knowledge and tricks with us. We did our best to present a complex project in the simplest form possible. We learned to synthesize our data and turn this project into something pleasant and rigorous at the same time.
We used the software WIX to make this website, the software Moovly to make the video and of course youtube to publish that video in question.
The ressources mobilized
It might be in student’s best interests to offer a list of websites or software programs allowing us to creale blogs and websites. And perhabs, it could be useful to show examples of RECAPSS videos or blogs in order to inspire students and give them a hint of what is expected in terms of creativity.
We would have enjoyed making an animated website with a musical background and use what we call "gifs". However, we learned to create a website, a video and we consider this to be a step in the right direction. Surely, we will spend less time for our next project on the process of making a website and spend more time following our creative ideas.
We believe that for group work of a creative and technical nature to take place under the best conditions, the group members must define a guideline on the design theme they want. Students often have unrealistic expectations when they are asked to present a creative project. However, making a website is very technical and it is necessary to have simple and precise guidelines.
